Info Post

As you know, for years, JumpStart has been creating the best learning games for kids. Now, with Get Moving: Family Fitness for the Wii, JumpStart is making fitness fun too! What are Moms concerned about equally as much as what our children are learning, if not more so, how healthy our children are. In today's world of technologically savvy children, many children are spending a lot of their free time on computers and in front of game systems. I think its fabulous that the world had become so technologically savvy and that our children are all so smart. But with the age of the computer and game systems comes less physical activity and children who are sitting more and mindlessly eating. The Get Moving game actually gets our children up off the sofa or the chair and gets them physically moving. I am all about anything that keeps my girls healthy. JumpStart sent me a copy of their newest game for the Wii and during this summer it has been a great distraction when it rained or the weather was simply too hot to have the girls outside. They seem to really enjoy learning the different sports and playing against one another ( it is single or multi- player  capable up to 2 players). My husband loves it too.  Discover the ultimate family sports game with fitness expert and mom of four, Brooke Burke.  With more than 15 sports challenges in 11 exotic arenas, Get Moving is the fun, new way to keep your family active! It never gets boring because you can always change it up.

Some key features of the new Wii game make it all the more exciting!  You can design your own character to race and play, build customized routines for an extra challenge, compete head to head or play solo, play underwater, on a farm, in Egypt or in 8 other exotic locations, and access expert tips for more ways to stay healthy! Some of the sports challenges may require the nunchucks  and /or the Wii fit board, so keep that in mind when you are ready to play. My daughters ,who are 3 and 5, loved the boxing, baseball and race challenges. My husband seemed to enjoy the football and basketball challenges. You can also change the level of difficulty for the challenges in order to make the game more age appropriate. We had a blast playing and laughing together doing the challenges ( you know how entertaining it is to watch anyone play a Wii game but it was absolutely adorable to watch my girls box and play baseball). It was pretty entertaining watching my husband throw his imaginary football, as well!
